Mint Hill Madness
Please join us at the Mint Hill Madness parade and help us make this a very special day for a very special little boy! Timmy’s wish to be a fireman and meet a princess will be coming true thanks to Make-A-Wish with support from Mint Hill Madness. On Saturday, May 24, Timmy will ride in the fire truck and serve as Grand Marshal for the Mint Hill Madness parade.

Timmy was born with a congenital heart defect.
The Brakmans connected with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which grants the wishes of children who have life-threatening medical conditions. Timmy’s wish was to be a firefighter and meet a princess, which led his family to the Mint Hill Madness parade.
Timmy will have the chance to ride in the parade as the grand Marshall.

Will has spent more time indoors this past year than most kids his age. The seven-year-old has been battling a rare and aggressive form of cancer.
While he's been forced to miss out on some things, the time indoors has given him the opportunity to focus on his musical passions.
Today, Guitar Center in Matthews and Make-A-Wish Foundation granted Will's wish by giving him a brand new drum set so he can pursue his passion like a pro.

Matthew Ledbetter usually needs a walker to get around, but on Saturday the 5-year-old flew with Batman thanks to Make-A-Wish.
Batman showed up at a reveal party for a new pool built in Matthew’s backyard, eliciting shrieks of joy from the boy as his favorite superhero lifted him into the air.
Matthew was born with an encephalocele and congenital polycystic kidney disease.

The High Point Moose Riders held their 2nd Annual fundraiser for Make-A-Wish Central & Western North Carolina. The event was a huge success and at the end, $3,000 was donated to Make-A-Wish.

Dalton found out Friday afternoon in an assembly in North Iredell’s gym that he will spend next week in England with his father Joe and older brother Dillon. All of this is thanks to a group of students at North Iredell High and the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Western North Carolina.

A local teen was diagnosed with liver cancer last September and recently had his wish granted to travel to see Manchester United play in the UK with his dad and brother. It was a wish come true for Dalton.

Groucho's is a new restaurant in both Columbia, SC and Huntersville, NC where 100% of the profits go to charity. The coolest part is that customers get to decide where the profits will go each year. Make-A-Wish is one of the very lucky recipients.

Always dreamed of attending the Kentucky Derby but never got to make that dream a reality?
Make-A-Wish Central and Western North Carolina wants to help locals experience the thrill and excitement of the internationally known race without leaving North Carolina and at the same time help area children in need.
Make-A-Wish will hold its first Kentucky Derby Classic at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at High Caliber Stables in Greensboro.
