Middle School students participated in the eighth annual Macy's "Believe" campaign this holiday season to write letters of a wish they had or a wish for some else. Macy's teamed up with the Make-A-Wish® foundation to spread holiday cheer to children with life-threatening medical conditions. For each letter collected through Christmas Eve, Macy's donated $1 to Make-A-Wish, up to $1 million, to help grant wishes for children who have life-threatening medical conditions.

Charlotte man pays it forward with Christmas light display

Make-A-Wish was able to send him and his family to Disney World this past spring. Harbin is now collecting donations from his display to give back to Make-A-Wish Central & Western North Carolina. The charity has a special play in P.T.'s heart. At 5-years-old, his sister was diagnosed with a rare genetic defect. "They granted a wish for my sister when we were children, so it's definitely my charity of choice," Harbin said.
