What steps would you take to help grant a wish?
Asheville, NC (September 1, 2012) –Make-A-Wish® Central and Western North Carolina will be taking steps to grant wishes Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Carrier Park during Asheville’s inaugural Walk for Wishes. It is a non-competitive, one-mile, children friendly walk through the park where every dollar raised goes straight to granting the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions in Central and Western North Carolina.
Registration and check-in opens at 9:30 a.m. The walk will start at 10:30 a.m. with an awards ceremony following. Fun, food and prizes will ensure each participant a great time.
This event is more than a walk to raise money; it is a symbol of the path that wish children and their families have journeyed on – and a celebration of our chapter’s involvement in every wish experience. It is our mission to bring hope, strength and joy to each family we touch. You can join in on this amazing experience by supporting our 2012 Walk for Wishes in Asheville.
Supporters can participate by signing up as an individual walker ($5 adults, free for children 11 and under), registering a team, sponsoring or just donating to the cause. For more information on the event, sponsoring or to register, go to www.walkforwishesashe.kintera.org, or contact Summer Lee by phone at (704) 339-0933 or email at email@example.com.
Currently, more than 300 children are waiting on a wish in Central and Western North Carolina. Proceeds from this event will be used to grant wishes to local children in our community.
Join us on October 13, 2012 at Carrier Park and share in the power of not just one, but every wish!
