Isaac’s wish to be a rescue pilot is coming true
High Point, NC - Six-year-old Isaac has plans to help kids when he gets older; he wants to be a rescue pilot. His fascination started after his extended hospital stay while battling hypoplastic right heart. His favorite time of day was watching the hospital helicopter land on their helipad and seeing the doctors help save the patient. He also remarked the pilots got to wear the coolest helmets. Isaac may be young, but his compassion for others is deeply embedded in his personality.
When asked to assist in Isaac’s wish, the Coast Guard immediately stepped up and offered to give Isaac and his family a weekend they will never forget. His action packed weekend includes official safety briefings, rides in different helicopters and planes, meals with the staff and his own customized flight suit. Members of the Coast Guard are very excited to meet Isaac and his family, and know that his wish will serve as inspiration to them all.
On August 21, the Zaxby’s in High Point will be throwing Isaac a send-off party to celebrate his wish coming true. They are donating food, beverages and dessert. The entire wish is still a surprise to Isaac and will be revealed to him the night of his wish party. Media is encouraged to attend the wish party.
