Local Company Steps Up To Grant A Family-Oriented Wish

April 03, 2014

Huntersville, NC

Seven-year-old Natalee is getting her wish to have a screened-in porch granted. Natalee suffers from a multitude of conditions that leave her unable to walk and talk. With Natalee’s love of the outdoors but restrictions with being in the sun for too long, a screened-in porch was the obvious choice.

Natalee is a sweet-natured girl who faces life-threatening challenges every day. When approached for a proposal, Eric Kent, owner of Archadeck of Charlotte was so touched by her story, he immediately stepped up and fast-tracked the project and asked his vendors to donate materials.  “Learning about Natalee’s wish and how her condition has impacted her enjoyment of the outdoors, touched all of us at Archadeck. We want to get Natalee out and able to enjoy a breezy afternoon again in a safe and beautiful place as soon as possible,” said Mr. Kent. By discounting his fees and gathering donated materials, he was able to bring the project in under budget without sacrificing quality.

On April 14, Archadeck and Make-A-Wish will be hosting a small wish reveal party for Natalee and her family. Natalee will finally be able to enjoy being outdoors without long exposure to the sun and still be close enough to the medical equipment she relies heavily on. The porch will give the family a little escape and an area to relax and recharge.
