Make-A-Wish® Grants Local Child's Wish To Attend College

Date

February 17, 2014

Location

Grover, NC

Eighteen-year-old Natron’s wish of being sent off to Western Carolina University with a full semester of his tuition entirely paid for has come true. Natron suffers from a Hematologic Disorder, a condition in which the bone marrow does not make enough new blood cells.

With the help of the Make-A-Wish® Central & Western North Carolina, he was able to enroll into his first semester of college in January of 2014. Natron is majoring in Business, with the hope to own his own business one day. He is extremely thankful to join the rest of his peers, simply attending college and playing sports. “I’m very appreciative and will continue to do my very best,” Natron stated.

Natron’s love of going to the gym and working out will benefit him for the Western Carolina Catamount’s upcoming football season, where his name has now been added to the roster.  Being such an athletic teenager, he was extremely thankful about his wish because it gave him the opportunity to pursue his infatuation for sports.

Natron was so thoughtful in sending an extremely touching emailing thanking Make-A-Wish. During an extremely difficult journey, Natron knew that he had a bright future ahead of him. “During my time of sickness, it was good to know that there would be something for me to look forward to once I became well.”
