Registration and check-in begins at 9:00 a.m., followed by the opening ceremony at 10:00 a.m. Participants will then head to the start of the walk route to begin the walk at 10:30 a.m. Fun, food and prizes will ensure each participant has a great time. This event is more than a walk to raise money; it is a symbol of the path that wish children and their families have journeyed on – and a celebration of our chapter’s involvement in every wish experience. In the true Halloween spirit, we are encouraging all participants and walk teams to “Wear Their Wish” by dressing up to resemble what they would wish for. All participants who dress up can be nominated to win a prize based on the best costumes. We will also have a Halloween activity tent for pumpkin painting, candy and more.
It is our mission to bring hope, strength and joy to each family we touch. A wish come true helps children feel stronger, more energetic, more willing and able to battle their life-threatening medical conditions. For many of them, it marks a turning point in their fight against their illnesses. For their doctors, nurses and other health professionals, the wish experience works in concert with medicine to make their patients feel better, emotionally and even physically. The Walk for Wishes is a great place to learn more about the organization, and even meet local wish kids and their families. Wish kids will be joining in the fun by wearing their wish and dressing up to resemble the wish they had granted.
Kickoff your Halloween by walking with us to grant wishes for children with life threatening medical conditions.
