W.I.S.H. Society Honorees are typically brought to our attention by way of personal referral or nomination. A person may nominate a friend, family member or colleague - a woman may even nominate herself. We look for a dynamic group of women from varying industries, age groups and philanthropic passions. Honorees are typically selected for their contributions to one or more of the following:
- Professional success in chosen career
- Community and/or professional leadership (socially, charitably, and/or professionally)
- Demonstrated commitment and passion for the Make-A-Wish mission
Nominating an Honoree is quick and simple. Get started today!
W.I.S.H. is more than just an acronym for Women Inspiring Strength and Hope - it’s a platform for recognition, an opportunity to bring hope, strength and joy to sick children, and it’s a powerful celebration.
Each year, through this initiative, Make-A-Wish is able to call attention to the incredible things women in our community are doing - both professionally and philanthropically. Society Honorees are uniquely talented, compassionate leaders who are invited to serve as partners to the organization. They're empowered to grant the wishes of local children battling life-threatening medical conditions by raising much needed funds. Honorees are recognized with an Annual Awards Luncheon - a grand celebration of each woman's accomplishments and partnership in our mission.
Since 2013, the initiative's inaugural year, Society Honorees have inspired strength and hope by raising more than $1,167,000 to grant the wishes of 195 children in our community! Meet the W.I.S.H. Society Alumnae
