Meet Samantha. This energetic, sweet-natured girl adores all things girly and wants to be a princess when she grows up. She is busy exploring the world and doesn't have time for cancer to slow her down. Samantha was diagnosed with Wilms Tumor in April of 2013 and had her tumor and kidney removed immediately after diagnosis. She went through several rounds of chemo-therapy and is now celebrating being in remission.
On a beautiful, fall day Trusted Choice employees and agents came together to stain Samantha’s newly completed playset and celebrate her wish being granted. Samantha loved the playset so much it was hard to get her off long enough to stain it.
Samantha was joined by her parents, Aaron and Martiza, and big sister, friends, family, neighbors, and her wish-granters for a fun-filled day of celebrating. Samantha had spent the night before playing on her newly installed play-set and had trouble understanding the “staining process”. Luckily the Trusted Choice volunteers, and Samantha’s dad and friends were able to quickly stain the play-set so that the drying process could finish.
Samantha took full advantage of the bouncy castle, loved eating as many chocolate chip-cookies as her mom would let her, and was enthralled by the beautiful princess that arrived to visit her that afternoon. Samantha also got to open a ton of presents provided by Trusted Choice staff and volunteers, and immediately adorned her favorite princess costume, Princess Sofia, and fell in love with her Samantha-sized Minnie Mouse stuffed animal.
