The 2015 Wish Ball, emceed by NBC Charlotte's own Larry Sprinkle, raised tens of thousands of dollars Friday for the regional Make a Wish Central chapter. As if that wasn't big enough, the night concluded with a big surprise.
Austin Edwards, 16, is on the waiting list for his wish. He battles cystic fibrosis, and he can't wait for his trip to the 2016 Super Bowl, giving his family a break from the daily grind of treatment.
