Jack Bolton became an associate coach for the Carolina Panthers for one day last August with help from the football team and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Jack, 9, has spinal muscular atrophy, and through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Panthers learned of his wish: “I want to coach with Ron Rivera.”

She was the daughter of Shelby and Stuart Stout. Her name was Hope.
It is the mission of Make-A-Wish to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions – any wish, limited only to the child’s imagination. Hope, however, turned out to be a very special child whose wish stretched the limits of our imaginations.

A third-grader at Davidson Elementary, Jack told the Make-A-Wish Foundation he wanted to be a coach. On Aug. 13, the Panthers made him associate head coach for Fan Fest.
What was supposed to be a one-day wish has yet to end. The Panthers invited Jack to practice Friday.

Christmas came a little early this year on the Tanner in the Morning Show because Guenn got to grant the wish of a very special three year old boy from Gastonia battling cancer! Troy, is Guenn’s Wish recipient and on Wednesday he and his family arrived at the CBS Radio station where the fun began. The family started with a scavenger hunt, filled with Disney clues that guided him through the radio station and delivered him to his final destination, The New 103.7 studio.

Walasia Vinson of Shelby was the "Wish Child" for Macy's Believe Day on December 6th. She collected thousands of letters to Santa, addressed to the North Pole, she took on that day. For every letter, Macy's donated $2 to Make-A-Wish.
This morning on Larry’s Look, we met this Walasia, who’s a 13-year-old cancer survivor. She actually said that she didn’t ask Santa for anything. Her reply: “I have everything, a loving family and God on my side.”

A Triad boy's wish to be a pirate at DisneyWorld came true Saturday at Walk For Wishes, held by Make-A-Wish.
6-year-old Benjamin, who has a skeletal malformation, was presented his wish by local pirates after the walk. Twin CIty Stage volunteered actors, costumes and props to help with the presentation.

Mae-Li Helms, 6, 'dances' with Prince Adam from 'Beauty and the Beast,' played by UNC Asheville drama major Jacob Williams. The girl, who suffers from a progressive muscular disease, learned Saturday she's getting a trip to Disney World from the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Lake Norman resident Robin Smith-Salzman has reached out to the community, and the response was overwhelming. As a W.I.S.H. Society nominee, Robin was asked to raise $6,000 to fund the wish of a local child, but pledged to raise enough funds to grant over three wishes.

UNC Asheville’s Drama Department is mobilizing to help fulfill the wish of an area 6-year-old with a degenerative disease. Jacob Williams, a drama major, will play the role of The Prince from "Beauty and the Beast" and present the young girl with a royal proclamation giving her a trip to Disney World.

Greensboro-based Icon Advisory Group raised $6,000 for a Make-a-Wish trip for a high school valedictorian with leukocyte adhesion deficiency.
