Seven-year-old Mae-Li was born with a progressive muscular disease, leaving her with extremely weakened muscles and the inability to walk. In 2012 an amazing family adopted her from China and she became one of six children. She loves attention and being close to her mom. Mae-Li knew right away what her wish was. She wanted to spend the night in a castle in a beautiful gown and dance with a handsome prince at a princess ball. She was able to get her wish kicked off with a huge party thrown by Friday Staffing in Morganton, NC.
In January of 2014 Mae-Li, her mother, father, sister and four brothers made their way to Orlando, FL to spend an entire week at Disney World. Mae-Li was able to have a fantastic time with her whole family for several days. It was great for her to bond with her magnificent family.
Her favorite part was going to Bippity Boppity Boutique, a magical beauty salon at Magic Kingdom where she got a complete makeover. Mae-Li’s favorite TV show is “Say Yes to the Dress” so she had high expectations when it came to her gown. However, they were met with sparkling brilliance when she got to dress up like her favorite princess, Belle. Her and her family were able to have the time of their lives and be treated like royalty.
