Every child that has a life-threatening illness deserves to have a wish granted. Brandon found out that he has B-cell lymphoma in 2013 after a broken arm would not properly heal. His family still stands beside him as he continues to go through two and a half years of treatments. Even though it can sometimes be painful and mundane, his family consistently encourage him to keep up the fight.
The wish granters arrived with signed memorabilia from the Wake Forrest men’s soccer team; his favorite team. He was quite delighted and enthused, even though he is sometimes shy, that they included this extra kind gesture when they arrived. He wants to one day attend Wake Forrest University and study to become a surgeon.
When presented with a wish, Brandon had many interesting ideas. These included having a fund to pay for college, meeting President Obama, a shopping spree, job shadowing his doctor for a day, or going to Disney World. After careful thought and consideration, Brandon decided that a new computer for gaming and graphic/animation design was exactly what he wanted.
Within minutes of the wish granters leaving his house he sent photos and Amazon links showing exactly what what wanted. A triple free-standing monitor mount with three 22-in monitors and a Alienware Aurora gaming computer was what he wanted. He also wished that this was placed on a new L-shaped desk with a comfy leather chair. He could now teach himself graphic design; something he could not do before Make-A-Wish granted his wish.
