O'Niyah: I wish to have a princess birthday party

“ She just felt like the real princess she is, forgetting all about cancer and treatment. ”

- O'Niyah's mom

Like any four-year-old girl, O’Niyah has high dreams and an expectant future. Her favorite things to do include going to the beach, riding her bike, dancing and pretending to be a princess. However, unlike most four-year-olds, O’Niyah’s days have also included hospital visits, cancer and chemotherapy since she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoid Leukemia. Even though she has faced these difficulties, O’Niyah is still a bright eyed, bubbly little girl with a mega-watt smile.

She has big dreams of being on television and wants to be a princess when she grows up. With her birthday quickly approaching, what better way to celebrate than to become a princess for the day and invite her favorite friends and fellow monarchs to celebrate turning four in a royal fashion? With all eyes on her, it was a birthday she would never forget.

O’Niyah was treated to a birthday party fit for a princess. She enjoyed an elegant afternoon at the Ritz Carlton filled with dancing, snacks, manicures, and even a photo booth. Princesses Tiana, Cinderella, and Ariel even made an appearance and escorted O’Niyah into her party. While sitting on her royal throne, O’Niyah was showered with presents from her friends, family and fellow princesses. She received everything from clothes to accessories and toys. Her mother says the experience had an amazing effect on their entire family. “We will never forget the special moment when O’Niyah forgot about being sick and was able to celebrate like the princess she truly is” said her mom.
