Diagnosed with Acute Lymphoid Leukemia only a year after being born, Anslee has only known a world of visits to the doctor and chemotherapy treatments. Despite the hardships she has endured, Anslee is an outgoing and vibrant girly girl, who is both well spoken and wise beyond her years. In her spare time she likes to play on her drum sets, color pictures, and dance. It didn’t take long for volunteers to discover her deep love of Disney, especially princesses. It was no surprise to anyone when she wanted to have lunch and dance with Disney Princesses as her wish.
Anslee’s wish came true in May 2013, when she and her parents visited DisneyWorld® for a week. She was treated to a week of rides, games, and a catered lunch with princesses! Anslee was able to forget about her treatments and just have a good time with her family for a week. “We had a chance to unwind and to leave everything behind for a bit” said Anslee's mom.
She is scheduled to end treatment shortly. She is looking forward to a carefree childhood full of fun and games. “Anslee’s wish was a great chance for us to be together as a family. It was an experience filled with firsts: airplane rides, roller coasters, meeting Mickey and several princesses” said her mom.
